Teaching children about road safety is need of the hour as it is directly related to their physical safety and well-being. Teachers became Road Safety Educators and made them aware about the essential traffic rules, meaning of traffic symbols, walking on zebra crossing, driving in lane, following traffic lights, road to be cleared for ambulance to move forward, etc. Children were excited to drive their own vehicles -cars, scooters on the traffic path created by the students and teachers while following the traffic rules.
They were also briefed about general rules to be followed on the roads and in their own residential areas. Students of classes 3 to 5 were given real life experience of managing traffic, following traffic rules during the dispersal time.
